Nupurnaad Festival is organised by the Nupurnaad Music & Dance Academy and Bhairavi Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, Trust, Pune The academy is formed by the artist couple; santoor Artist Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar and bharatnatyam exponent Dr. Swati Daithankar Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar is a renowned santoor player, a senior disciple of Padmavibhushan Pt. Shivkumar Sharma. Academically, an ayurvedic physician, Dr. Daithankar has professionally pursued santoor for the past thirty years Dr. Swati Daithankar is a professional & a highly acclaimed bharatnatyam performer, who is a double graduate in english literature and bharatnatyam from the University of Mumbai.
